There are 2 types of steel bar.
1.Round Bar (RB)
Round bar are commonly used in residential, commercial applications such as houses,
factories, buildings, roads, columns etc. Round Bar is available in a wide variety of diameter size
ranging from RB6, RB9, RB10, RB12, RB15, RB19, RB25. Round bar's steel grade is SR24 meaning
that the steel having yeild stress of more than 2400 kg/cm².
2.Deformed Bar (DB)
Deformed bar is used in a range of residential, commercial and infrastructure applications from concrete slabs to prefabricated beams, columns, cages and precast products, having diameter ranging from 10-40 millimetre. There are 3 standard for steel bars for reinforced concrete as follows SD30, SD40 and SD50 meaning that the steel bars have yeild stress of more than 3000 kg/cm², 4000 kg/cm² and 5000 kg/cm² respectively.
Deformed Bars are more commonly used in applications due to its desirable quality and yeild stress. In addition, SD50 and SD40 are preferable than SD30.
